FLOAT TRIP COMING Splish-Splash-Gonna have a blast! Especially if you go on the Adult Ministries Annual Float Trip, Friday, August 27 through Sunday, August 29. Rooms are very limited so please confirm with me ASAP. I've got the details; just ask me, PAM TEMPLE 377-0205		Eyes for Christ will not meet the first Tuesday in September, but will resume with regular schedule in October. The September date is Tuesday the 21st. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00am to wash glasses. Thanks for all your help!
MISSION NEWS As we approach the Fall months of the year, they are busy for so many reasons. I would like for you to pray for these mission projects and how you will be involved in them. In the month's of November and December, we work on Operation Christmas Child, which is the shoebox gifts, and also on the Angel Tree Project, which is adoption of an Angel from Holy Community UMC. We do need someone or a group to volunteer to make the Angels for our project this year, so if you can help with these projects, please contact Alicia Weddle.		MEN'S RETREAT Ellendale will have its first Annual Men's Retreat September 24-26, 2010 at Meeman Shelby Forest. There will be Bible Study, Fishing, Hiking, and Rest and Relaxation. And, of course, GOOD FOOD! Cabins have been reserved for lodging. The Retreat begins on Friday evening and concludes on Sunday mid-morning. The cost for the weekend (which includes food) is $100.00 per person. There is also a daily fee, based on which day you choose to attend. Join us as we get to know one another, as well as ourselves. If you would like to register for the Retreat or you need any additional information, call Victor Weddle or Shawn Phillips.
		GAD-A-BOUTS On Friday, Sept. 10th, we are traveling to Holly Springs, Ms for the migration of the hummingbirds from Canada to South America. If you love watching hummingbirds, this should be a real treat for you. We will be going to the Strawberry Plains Audubon Center in Holly Springs. The cost will be $15.00 per person plus your lunch. We need to pay the $15.00 in advance. You can make a check out to the church and earmark it Gad-a-bouts, or give me the cash. The deadline for your $15.00 is Aug. 30th. We will be leaving the church at 8:00am, riding the vans to Holly Springs, Ms., enjoying the Hummingbird Celebration, eating lunch, and returning back to the church.
