LIGHTHOUSE KIDS

Lighthouse Kids is a special program Ellendale Methodist developed for our younger children in grades K-5.  Lighthouse Kids meets on Wed. nights, from 6-7:30, for children ages 4-5th gr.  Bring your Kids, grandkids, neighbors, or friends.  Worried about getting them fed before church?  We do that for you!  Worried that the week is just too busy, and they need "a night off"? The kids have activity time each night after the lesson, to let them "wind down" and enjoy Christian Fellowship.  So, why not come?

Looking for a way to help?? Children's Ministry is ALWAYS in need of a few good people to volunteer with feeding Lighthouse Kids, Lighthouse Kids helpers, Sunday School Teachers, and Children's Church Volunteers. Several of these are once a month or every other month commitments. Will you be the one to let our children know they are worth it? A special thank you to Debbie Pearce, Sarah and Glenn Shepherd, Linda and Clyde Johnson, and Young at Heart S.S. Class for helping to feed the Lighthouse Kids in January!!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

July 12-16, 2010

Just a reminder that this Sunday, July 18th is Vacation Bible School Celebration Sunday.  Our children will be showing what they have learned this week. They will be singing some really great songs and you do not want to miss that! After the 11:00 service, we are having hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch and we need you to bring a 2 liter drink (Coke, diet, Pepsi, etc) and a side dish.  You can bring beans, chips & dips, fruit, any kind of salads or desserts and a 2 liter drink. Our children are asked to also bring their bathing suits and towels to enjoy our water slides.  (Parents need to supervise the water slide while you child are enjoying it.)

Our mission project this year is United Methodist Neighborhood Center and the Ronald McDonald House of St. Jude.  If you don't remember to bring something for our mission project, you may have to walk the plank!!
