HOPE CLASS
If you are not presently attending a Sunday School Class this is for you. The Hope Sunday School Class meets in the Education building, second floor on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM (we take late comers). We start a new study each quarter, so if you are looking for a short or long term commitment look no further. We not only study the Scripture but we see how we can apply it to our lives today.

YOUNG AT HEART Young at Heart! Exactly what it says, we range from 20 somethings to something somethings….it doesn’t matter your age, all that counts is that you are Young At Heart! We are about 30 members strong, some marrieds, some singles, some marrieds whose spouses who are not active, with kids, without kids, with pets, without pets, but all with one common bond…we love and care for each other and need the strength of our savior, Jesus Christ, to get us through our day to day challenges. As a class, we select very challenging, faith based lesson guides to serve the class guided by our spiritual needs at that time. Right now our lesson plans are from “Get Bitter or Get Better” by James Moore. Recently we took the journey on learning to trust God by going through “If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat”. It seems that whatever we all are personally facing, that Kari McKean finds the lesson plan that leads us through it. This group loves each other and loves Ellendale Methodist Church. We draw upon each other’s strengths to get through the bad and to celebrate the good. The class wraps you up with their deep devotion to God’s word, their love of the church, and encourages you to share your opinions and observations about His loving guidance through our daily lives. We encourage everyone to come visit with us. If you can only come to stay with us for just a little while, that’s okay. What better way to know us and love us, then let God lead you where you need to be and if it’s with the Young At Heart…AWESOME!

WESLEYAN SPIRIT CLASS The Wesleyan Spirit Class was founded the first Sunday of October, 2007 by Mark Griffy. The class members work together focusing on community missions as well as outreach ministries. Our belief is you can lead people closer to God through love, kindness and compassion for every situation. Christ calls all of us to be shepherds. Our classroom studies consist of various series presented through DVD's, bible scripture and Christian study books. One of the ministries we have organized and participate in is Youth Village Faith Night on Wednesday nights which teaches abused boys about God's love through bible stories and activities. We work with Forgiveness House ministering to the men through fellowship, prayer, and monthly meals. We sponsor the Eyes for Christ Mission where church members meet several times a month to wash donated glasses that are then packaged and sent to under privileged countries for the needy. We are working on establishing our church as a hub for the P.E.T. project that assembles carts for the lame of foreign countries to allow the handicapped individuals to be productive members of society. Other missions we have organized or participated in are Kairos Prison Ministry, Food for the Hungry, Socks for Union Missions, and Grace House Ministries that offers spiritual guidance to incarcerated women. While we believe missions are important, we also believe in taking care of each other in time of need, sorrow, and sickness. We send cards to those experiencing difficulties of various kinds, take food to them to lighten their loads, and visit to lift their spirits if possible. We socialize outside of the church together often celebrating birthdays, holidays, and the many blessings God has allowed us to receive. We want to continue working toward cultivating healthy disciples, developing and sharing our spiritual gifts, and celebrating through worship and prayer what God has done for all of us.

COUPLES IN CHRIST The Couples in Christ class is a gathering of couples ranging in age from early twenties to mid thirties. We average 20 in attendance each week. We are a fun and lively class that loves to get together outside of church as often as possible for outings such as bowling, movies, and game nights at each other's houses. Our study of the Bible revolves around different books that we spend a couple of months going through. Books we have used in the past are The Purpose Driven Life and Fireproof. We aim for our class to be pretty much discussion based to involve everyone. We even feed you every Sunday
