We recognize that it is important for Christians to be fit mentally, physically and spiritually. That's why at Ellendale United Methodist we have opportunities to engage in activities such as Weight Watchers where participants support each other and learn healthier ways to eat. Zumba Classes are another way to get moving and burn some of those extra calories while having fun.  In the past, we have offered a training program known as CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) in conjunction with the Bartlett Fire Department. All of these activities are open to members of the church, as well as open to members of the community who would like to participate. We have had nutrition programs and blood pressure screenings. Recently, there was a church wide "Heart Healthy Potluck" where participants could not only learn about tips and nutrition to keep their hearts healthy, but sample foods and take home recipes to enjoy later. A monthly newsletter article entitled “Body and Soul” provides topics of interest related to aspects of health for all ages at Ellendale United Methodist Church.
