MISSION TRIP

The Mission Team left Sunday, June 13 for Reelfoot Rural Ministries and returned on Saturday, June 19. Our team was Victor Weddle, Shawn Phillips, Mark Griffy, Neil Griffy, Peggy U'Ren, Dwight, Sandra, Daniel, and Jennifer Davis. They participated in a week work camp repairing and improving homes in Obion, TN.

Memphis Interfaith Hospitality Network
Known as MIHN

Ellendale has been asked to help Decatur Trinity in hosting MIHN families for three weeks out of the year for a week at a time.
They have the facilities, but need help in getting volunteers to stay overnight and then groups or individuals who provide and
serve meals during the week. It is a great opportunity to work with churches in our community and help displaced families. We
need a person who would be the coordinator and work with Decatur Trinity and members of Ellendale. If you feel that this is something you would like to do, please contact Alicia.

As you are out shopping for school supplies, remember to pick up those extra items to fill a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child that will begin in November.

Also, if there is a group or individual that would like to make or purchase Angels for our Angel Tree project, please let me know.

As we continue to work on Mission projects, remember we need your help. There are many things that any one of you could do. If you would like to help with our Mission Ministries, please feel free to call me.
 

"Crossroads Hospice"

Crossroads Hospice is looking for volunteers to help with the Spiritual needs of the terminally ill. The training
will be June 26 and the deadline for sign-up is June 19. If you are interested, please call Alicia Weddle at 385-3299 for more info.

EYES FOR CHRIST

 Eyes for Christ will not meet the first Tuesday in September, but will resume with regular schedule in October. The September date
is Tuesday the 21st. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00am to wash glasses. Thanks for all your help!
